Featured Brand of the Month: Nunn Design - Week Four

For our final week highlighting Nunn Design, let's take a look at some of their most popular and versatile components: their selection of Bezel and Resin Pendants and Links.

These lovely pieces allow your imagination to run wild. As you look through their collection, you will find a variety of options that will work beautifully with many mixed media techniques and components such as epoxy clay, resin, collage art paper and more. I personally love using Nunn Design bezel pendants in my projects and think they work especially well with Crystal Clay and  chatons. The possibilities are endless and it is so much fun to experiment and explore.

Featured Project: Bijoux Noir Ring by Karlin

This week's featured project is Karlin's Bijoux Noir ring, which uses a Nunn Design antiqued silver plated bezel floral ring, black Crystal Clay and a Preciosa chaton medley in Jet. The outcome is a slightly edgy, somewhat vintage-inspired piece that can easily be personalized with any color of Crystal Clay or chatons that you like.

In this week's featured video, Becky Nunn of Nunn Design teaches us how to get the look of an enameled piece of jewelry using epoxy clay and resin. Although resin may seem intimidating at first, this intriguing technique is surprisingly simple. Watch the video below to learn more!

Designer Picks:

Julie:

My favorite bezel might seem like an odd choice to some. Measuring only 14mm, the petite Nunn Design Antique Gold Plated Pewter Rectangle Bezel is a versatile component that I have used in many different designs. I have found the small size to be perfect for both earrings and necklaces. Also, the bezel edges are ideal for creating the perfect amount of surface tension when doming resin inside the bezel.

Megan:

The Lace Edge Round Bezel Pendants are my favorite bezels from Nunn Design.  These cups are a little different from the solid bezels, as they aren't meant to contain resin for mixed media pieces.  Instead, these little cups provide a decorative setting for cabochons.  They add such a pretty finishing touch - and you can even bend the loops down and use them to hang your piece.

Kat:

The Nunn Design Bright Silver Plated Pewter Key Bezel Pendant is my favorite bezel.  I love the ornate detail on the bow of the key and if you look closely you will see a crown in the bezel cup.  Also, because this key is 73mm long it could be made into a fun personalized a key chain.

Karlin:

I love the new bezel brooches from Nunn Design's Winter Collection! They just lend themselves so beautifully to vintage-inspired designs and have the perfect ornate touch. My favorite is the antiqued silver round brooch bezel pendant. I look forward to experimenting with resin and adding in some of my artwork.

We hope you enjoyed exploring Nunn Design, February's featured Brand of the Month. If you are itching to jump in and get your hands on some of these gorgeous components, be sure to stay tuned for some exciting news later this week!
