Beading Table THURSday? 09/20/2012

Sometimes we get so busy that time just gets away from us!  That happened to us when we got to work this morning and realized that Wednesday had passed and that we were remiss in sharing what's on our beading table with you.  We decided to just go ahead and share it anyway, so here is our Beading Table (ahem) Thursday:

Julie's Table

On my beading table today are two projects that play off of geometrical shapes. I have one design that takes 3 vintage lucite faceted cube beads (in fabulous faux tortoise shell) and places them boldly on a thin beading chain. My other design is a work-in-progress in which I have combined Tila beads with Miyuki delicas in a way that creates a striped fan appearance. I made up this stitch as I went so I am just as curious as everyone else to see how it turns out!

Megan's Table

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's just around the corner!  My step-mom and my mother-in-law are both breast cancer survivors, so this is a cause that is very near to my heart.  Plus, it's not like I needed much of an excuse to make a whole bunch of PINK jewelry!  On my table this week, I have a hand stamped survivor necklace, a pink hemp macrame wrap bracelet, and lots of pretty pink SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS beads and sterling silver message beads.
