Quick Tip Tuesday: Use Crimp Bead Covers as Accent Beads
The beauty of crimp bead covers is that they are essentially open beads and you can add them wherever you want. Karlin recently made a kumihimo bracelet using an assortment of green seed beads. After she added the clasp and finished the project, she realized that the bracelet was lacking something. It needed a little "pop". She cleverly realized that she could create the look of interspersed gold beads by placing crimp bead covers over some of her warp threads (and closing them around the thread), between the other beads. You could easily apply this same idea to other jewelry making projects - from strung necklaces that might have little gaps to fill in, to crocheted creations and even bead woven designs.
