Quick Tip Tuesday: Rounding Foundation Edges

I love to bead embroider; it is truly one of my favorite jewelry making techniques. Usually I start with a cabochon and then embroider around it. If you too have done this, you probably have experienced your thread catching on the sharp corners of the foundation (assuming you cut a square or rectangular piece).

Here is a quick tip: After you cut your foundation, but before you bead, use a pair of scissors and cut the corners off. If you create soft rounded edges, you will most likely find that your thread no longer catches on those pesky corners.
