How to Make a Beaded Bead

A long while ago, I became fascinated with the beaded bead. I had just learned several of the most basic beadwork stitches, and I was ready to move on to more three dimensional projects. After realizing that I could use Right Angle Weave to make a 3-D sphere, I got to work trying to figure it out. Many frustrated grunts and curses later, I emerged victorious with my Swarovski Crystal orb. Then came the difficult part: how in the world was I supposed to write up instructions on how to make this thing?

Lucky for me, the results of my woven bead experiment, now known as the Mint Julep Necklace, waited patiently, and can now be found on our website (or see above) complete with step-by-step video instructions. But wait, there's more! I was also inspired to make a second how-to video on a more ornate beaded bead which incorporates 4mm Czech fire polish and 11/0 seed beads.

I hope you enjoy these video tutorials, and that they inspire you to create your own beaded beads. Hopefully I will be making more beaded bead variations to share with you in the near future.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much. You made it look so easy, so I tried it and it was pretty easy after a few tries.
