Can you tell that someone is gearing up for the Fourth of July? Making a return appearance to BTW today is that lovely star charm chain, this time used in a patriotic design which includes Swarovski bicones in the requisite red, white, and blue. Also featuring those lovely American flag colors is a simple (yet bold) square-stitched Miyuki cube bangle-- the perfect accessory to wear to your July Fourth festivities. On deck, and waiting patiently in the wings, is a slew of multicolored Toho seed beads to be used for more bead embroidery projects.
Julie's Table
I have decided to dive into the world of stamped metal jewelry this week. We recently received some new metal stamping blanks and I wanted to see how I might be able to easily alter them. There are numerous texturing hammers available but what I had on hand was a chasing hammer. Using the rounded side, I created a really interesting aged "hammered" appearance. I also experimented with an alphabet punch set. Also in the photo is a star blank which I then stamped with a decorative star design punch and followed by rubbing silver Gilders Paste into the depressed area.
