SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Innovations Fall/Winter 2014/15 Launch - Part 1: Color

We are excited to share the new colors, effects and styles by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Innovations for their Fall/Winter 2014/15 launch.  We will explore the details of this collection in two blog posts: a first post which will discuss the colors and a second post which will describe the styles.

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS are synonymous with elegance and grace.  Historically, they are the epitome of classic quality.  Yet new collections of colors, effects and styles are launched twice a year, every year, keeping Swarovski at the forefront of fashion and innovation.  Unsurprisingly, there is always a world-wide audience awaiting impatiently for each new innovative collection to inspire, intrigue and influence designers all around the world.

The colors in this launch evoke the beauty of nature and its subtle power, while their richness and intensity ratchet up the glamor quotient.   The new SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS colors and effect are: Dark Green Moss, Crystal Lilac Shadow and Crystal Blackberry Pearl.

The Dark Moss Green color is vibrant and forest-lush.   Swarovski describes the color beautifully as having an “opulent jewel-like character that is inspired by tourmaline, signaling a ‘back to nature’ mood in step with the current neo-ecological trend.”  The luxurious 'jewel' aspect of crystal beads and the natural color make a lovely combination that harmonizes with a variety of metals.  Combined with silver,  Dark Moss Green will be fresh enough for spring and summer.  Warmed up by gold clasps or copper findings, this color will glow in the colder seasons.  It will also be fantastic for Christmas projects.  


The Crystal Lilac Shadow Effect is full of plum purples and subtle golds.  Reminiscent of rich sunsets and ripe fruit, it is a color that offers a sense of calmness and softness.  Silver findings will bring out the modern tone of this Effect.  Yet it can easily be paired with gold-plated and copper findings by Vintaj or Nunn Design for a romantic and vintage-inspired look.  This feminine color would look stunning used in designs with other SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals in Crystal Rose Gold, Crystal Golden Shadow, and Cyclamen Opal.


Crystal Blackberry Pearl is described by Swarovski as having a "hypnotic and mysterious quality."  It is a gorgeous deep hue that mimics the color of lush blackberries growing in the garden.  This ripe, luscious color will contrast beautifully with sterling silver accents or a more unexpected rose gold.  To complete a Fall-inspired berry color palette, try pairing Crystal Blackberry Pearl with other Swarovski Pearls in accent colors of Bordeaux or Maroon. With purples and berry hues being a leading trend in color this fall, it is a beautiful option that is both versatile and trendy.
